Tina Shoa received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 2010. She previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow and as a research scientist at Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation, specializing in electrochemical modeling and characterization techniques. In 2013, she joined Cadex Electronics as director of research, where she managed research activities focused on battery modeling and diagnostic methods. She actively collaborates with universities to investigate state-of-the-art technologies and incorporate them into product development. Shoa joined the Department of Energy Management at New York Institute of Technology as an assistant professor in 2019. She holds multiple patents in the area of battery diagnostics technology and has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles, as well as a book chapter.
