Vancouver Learning Commons and Library Services
The Learning Commons Library is a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to support the academic and research needs of students, Faculty, and staff. As you enter the space, you’ll be welcomed by the bright and airy atmosphere, with ample natural light flooding the room. The library is equipped with BrainLit lighting, which helps to promote a healthy and productive study environment.
At the center of the Learning Commons, you’ll find a collection of reference books covering a broad range of subjects and disciplines. These books are invaluable resources for students and researchers and are not available for checkout. However, students are welcome to browse the books in the library and use the space provided.
The library is equipped with student-use search kiosks and workstations, allowing students to access digital resources, databases, and other online tools essential for their academic success. A Bloomberg finance terminal is also available for students who need to keep up with the latest financial news and market trends.
In addition to the digital resources, the Learning Commons has a printing and project prep room, which offers a range of printing and scanning services. This room is ideal for students who need to print out project documents, posters, and other materials.
The library is designed with ample study and group workspaces, perfect for collaborative learning and group projects. These spaces have comfortable furniture and the latest technology to support collaboration and productivity.
The Learning Commons offers a bookable quiet study room for students who need a more tranquil space. This room is equipped for group study and is perfect for students who need a distraction-free environment to focus on their work.

You can book some of our shared spaces in our Learning Commons at the BTC campus, such as the study room, conference room, and the Green / Broadcast studio.

Our license agreements for many electronic resources restrict off-campus access to current New York Tech faculty, staff, students, and approved affiliates only. When you’re off campus, you will be asked to login to your My New York Tech account.
