Flexible Prerequisite Course Options for MBA Students

At New York Tech, we believe in empowering our students to achieve their academic and professional aspirations while upholding the highest standards of excellence. To support you, we now offer alternative pathways to fulfill prerequisite requirements, making your transition into graduate studies smoother and more accessible.
Students can now choose one of the following flexible learning options*:
- Option 1 (Recommended): Complete the prerequisite courses via the recommended third-party education provider below.
- Option 2: Other alternative sources to fulfill prerequisite requirements (pre-approval and consent from the dean is required). Please email vancouver.mba@nyit.edu.
- Option 3: Complete the prerequisite courses asynchronously from New York Institute of Technology’s online campus. Please refer to the New York campus page for the tuition rates.
* Please note that New York Institute of Technology Vancouver campus no longer offers in-person delivery for prerequisite courses.
To provide greater flexibility, we recommend completing these courses through a third-party education provider, such as Coursera. These carefully selected alternatives allow you to meet the prerequisite criteria before embarking on your graduate studies at New York Tech. Completing these prerequisites in advance will streamline your transition into your academic journey.

We strongly advise enrolling in these third-party courses only after securing your visa and confirming your enrollment at New York Tech Vancouver campus. This ensures that your efforts align with your academic and immigration timelines.
- Submission of Certificates: Upon finishing a course, please submit your completion certificate to vancouver.admissions@nyit.edu. This step is essential to update your admission file and verify your eligibility.
- Eligibility for Admission: Successfully completing these courses will make you eligible to apply for admission and receive a waiver for the corresponding prerequisite course.
