New Student Orientation

Welcome to the #NewYorkTechVancouver Community!

New Student Orientation Week is a mandatory program for all new students to help ease your transition to university life in Canada and New York Tech-Vancouver.

Summer 2025 orientation will be offered in person.

Summer 2025 Orientation Dates: Tuesday, May 13, – Friday, May 16.

It is mandatory to attend the entire Orientation Week in person, so please arrange your travel plans accordingly.

To kick off Orientation Week, “Welcome to New York Tech” Presentation will take place Tuesday, May 13 at 9 a.m. (PDT).

New Student Orientation Week will give you all the information you need to know about our campus, student resources, our different services department, and all the things you can look forward to as a New York Tech Vancouver student.

Only registered, Summer 2025 new students are permitted to attend our orientation week events. Registration for remaining New Student Orientation Week Events and Workshops are emailed out to all successfully registered students.

  • Our Student Services Departments
  • Student Support Resources
  • Social Engagement Activities

We will communicate all logistical details for Fall 2024 New Student Orientations via email, so please make sure to check your preferred email regularly.

What is a New York Tech Mentor?

A New York Tech Vancouver Mentor is a current student who is studying in your program. They were in your shoes and can help you navigate your transition to our institution, Vancouver, and Canada.
