You must possess the following credentials in order to be considered* for the Master of Business Administration, M.B.A. program at New York Tech Vancouver:

• Four (4) – year Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. In exceptional circumstances, applicants with overall GPA between 2.75 - 2.99 (on a 4.0 scale) may be eligible to apply if they have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience with a proof of employment to be submitted by the employer. These applicants will be considered on case-by-case basis.
• Proof of English Language Proficiency:
  • IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.5 (NOT GENERAL) with a minimum of 6.0 in Speaking and Writing. IELTS indicator is not accepted.
  • TOFEL iBT: 88 with minimum of 18 in Speaking, 21 in Writing. TOEFL iBT home is accepted.
  • Pearson Academic (PTE): Overall 65; minimum 60 in Speaking and Writing.
  • Successful completion of the University Pathway Program from one of our partner schools (must be completed in-person)
  • New English Language Admissions requirement starting Fall 2024

*Applicants will not be required to complete an English-language test if they have completed a bachelor's degree or higher at an institution where the language of instruction and examination was in English in a country where English is the primary language.

**Test scores must be valid at the time of submission. All test scores and the university pathway program completion are valid for a period of two years from the date of the test. Scores that are more than two years old are not able to be verified and cannot be used for graduate applications.

***Minimum requirements. The M.B.A. program has a limited number of seats and only the best applicants will be admitted to the program.

The M.B.A. program consists of waivable and non-waivable courses. Students who have completed an undergraduate degree in the past five years may apply to waive up to 9 credits of waivable courses. In order to waive a course, you must demonstrate that you have successfully completed an equivalent course at an accredited four-year institution prior to enrolling at New York Tech. If a course is not waived, it must be completed as part of New York Tech's M.B.A. program.

Application Process

All New York Tech Vancouver applications are done online and require a non-refundable $50 USD application fee. In addition, you will also be asked to upload the following documents:

• Completed online application
• A copy of your passport (valid passport only, expired passport will not be accepted).
• Proof of English proficiency if you have not completed your bachelor’s degree from an accredited North American institution. Minimum overall score of IELTS (Academic and Online) 6.5 or 88 TOEFL (IBT and Home Edition) and PTE (Academic).
• GMAT score if your overall GPA is less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Bachelor's Degree completion certificate.
• Semester-by-semester transcripts for all four years of your bachelor’s degree.
• 1-2 pages of a Resume or a Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Statement of Purpose (recommended)
• Any transcripts or certificates received beyond your bachelor’s degree program.
