Vancouver Campus Closure

New York Institute of Technology announced on February 10, 2026, that due to government-imposed student limits, it has begun the process of closing its Vancouver campus. As a result, no new students will be enrolled after this spring 2026 term. We are developing a teach-out plan for our current students in Vancouver to facilitate the timely completion of their degrees.

Vancouver Commencement Ceremony

26th and Final Commencement Ceremony

New York Institute of Technology is proud to announce its 26th and Final Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the academic achievements of graduates from the following classes:

Fall 2025 · Spring 2026 · Summer 2026 · Fall 2026 · Spring 2027

This milestone ceremony will be held in person and represents a historic moment as we honor the accomplishments, perseverance, and dedication of our graduating students.

Ceremony Schedule

Graduates are encouraged to arrive on time to allow for registration, gowning, and lineup prior to the ceremony.

Graduate Registration

To participate in the Commencement Ceremony, please register for both the ceremony and your regalia (cap and gown) by Friday, October 30, 2026. 
 
Please use your New York Tech Student ID and New York Tech email address when completing your registration. 
 
New York Institute of Technology provides regalia to graduating students at a cost of CAD $50.00 + tax per person. 
 
To take part in the ceremony, graduates are required to wear official New York Institute of Technology academic regalia.

Guest Visa Invitation Letters

Graduates who will be welcoming guests traveling from overseas may request a Visa Invitation Letter in support of their guests’ travel plans.

New York Institute of Technology does not issue individual invitation letters for visa purposes. According to IRCC, graduates may prepare their own invitation letters by following the guidance available on the IRCC website.
