Our MEM program teaches you the skills to address global energy-related challenges and become a leader in energy management. Our curriculum is designed to align with B.C.’s energy policies while offering national and international perspectives.
The program consists of 30 credits, including a fundamental core of seven required courses and three elective courses. You can tailor your studies with a combination of technical energy management courses and MBA courses.
Our applied curriculum emphasizes student projects, providing hands-on experience in real-world energy management scenarios. This approach ensures that you graduate with the practical skills needed to excel in the energy sector.
Students have the flexibility to transfer between our New York and Vancouver campuses, broadening their educational experience. Financial aid is available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, while international students can work off-campus during their studies and qualify for post-graduation work permits of up to three years.

You must possess the following credentials in order to be considered* for the Master of Energy Management program at New York Tech Vancouver:
Four–year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) in science, applied science, or engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Minimum GRE score of 295 (if required)
Proof of English Language Proficiency:
IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.5 (NOT GENERAL) with a minimum of 6.0 in all bands. IELTS indicator is not accepted.
TOFEL iBT: 88 with a minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing. TOEFL iBT home is accepted.
Pearson Academic (PTE): Overall 65; with a minimum of 60 in all bands.
Successful completion of the University Pathway Program from one of our partner schools (must be completed in person)
New York Institute of Technology-Vancouver is offering an MEM Entrance Academic Scholarship for prospective students who will start in the Spring 2025 semester. We also offer a Domestic Student Scholarship for Permanent Residents of Canada and Canadian students who will start in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
