Official Transcript Submission
In order to be able to register for courses, you must submit official transcript(s) before the start of the registration period; if you do not, you will not be able to register. If you do not provide official transcripts by the end of the add/drop period, you will be withdrawn from New York Institute of Technology – Vancouver and your tuition deposit refunded per the Admissions Deferral and Deposit Refund Policy. Please note that all submitted documents are retained by the New York Institute of Technology and will not be returned to you. Please note that all documentation submitted in support of your application must be official. A comprehensive list of required official transcripts will be available on the admissions portal for your reference. Admissions Portal.
What is an “OFFICIAL” transcript?
Hard-copy transcripts and other academic records are considered “official” when they arrive in a sealed, stamped, official envelope with the seal and any other security feature intact directly from your institution. Electronic transcripts are considered “official” when we receive them from a secure site formally linked to the sending institution.
How To Submit Official Documents (All documents must be in English)
1. Electronic Documents
- We accept electronic transcripts directly from your institutions or by approved third-party delivery platforms such as Scoir, Clearinghouse, MyCreds, My eQuals, Digitary Core. Please send them at Vancouver.Transcripts@nyit.edu
- Applicants who obtained their degree from China: Order a Verification Report from CSSD. New York Tech Vancouver Campus relies on officially verified academic records. Applicants who obtained their Bachelor or Master’s degree from China – they must use a government agency officially authorized to verify academic records issued in mainland China. We accept verification reports sent directly from the Center for Student Services and Development, Ministry of Education, P.R. China (CSSD). Please order the following documents electronically at Vancouver.Transcripts@nyit.edu
- A verification report of China Higher Education Student’s Academic Transcript
- Bachelor’s degree Certificate
2. Paper Documents
If you are unable to submit your documents electronically, you can make arrangements for the official documents to be mailed to the following address. (Please note that it must be sent directly from your institution)

3. Wes Course-by-course Evaluation Report OR Official Evaluation From One of The NACES Current Members
If you are unable to submit your documents with those options, you can submit an official WES Course-by-Course Evaluation Report of your Bachelor’s Degree. Please visit WES website for more information.
Please Note
- Documents that you submit for evaluation will not be returned to the applicant or student.
- New York Tech Vancouver will only review requested documents. If you send documents that were not requested, it will be discarded.
- Academic records received in any other condition, such as transcripts that arrive in an unsealed envelope, or that are emailed or uploaded by the student/agents, or that are printed from the university portal, are not considered “official”.
Wondering if New York Tech Vancouver has received your documents? It will take 2 to 3 weeks for us to process your documents and indicate that we have received them in the Admissions Portal. It will be updated in the portal under the checklist as soon as we receive your documents and you will receive a confirmation email. Thank you for your patience!
