We are happy to announce the upcoming in-person Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at The University of British Columbia on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Register for Commencement Ceremony
Register for the Commencement Ceremony and Regalia (Cap & Gown) before October 2, 2024.
Please register using your New York Tech student ID and New York Tech email address.
New York Institute of Technology provides regalia to graduating students at a cost of CAD $36.99 + tax per person.
To participate in the commencement ceremony, you are required to wear New York Institute of Technology’s academic regalia.

We are looking for an outstanding student speaker who can represent the New York Tech student experience of the Classes of 2024. This is a great honour and an opportunity to share your story.

Order Guest Tickets
Admission to the commencement ceremony is by ticket only. Each graduate receives a maximum of two guest tickets, plus their own ticket – additional tickets are not available at this time. Each person (including children) will require a ticket to gain admittance. Please note that physical tickets will not be distributed in advance. Your guests must bring either a print-out of their e-ticket, or have their e-ticket accessible on their phone.
All guests are required a ticket.

Commencement Ceremony Invitation Letter
New York Institute of Technology does not issue individual invitation letters for visa purposes. According to IRCC, graduates can provide their own invitation letters using the guidance on the IRCC website.
