- Go to Payment Plans and follow the links and instructions provided for Transact Payments (formerly CASHNet), Tuition Payment Plan
If you need assistance with navigating the Transact Payments Full-Service Payment Plan website or enrolling into a payment plan, please contact the Transact Payments Customer Care Center, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. EST at 888.381.8054. (First choose option "1" then choose option "2" for students and parents).
Important Information About the Payment Plan
- The Payment Plan is available to students with good payment records at New York Tech.
- The earlier you enroll in the plan, the lower your monthly installment payment will be.
- Enrollment Fee USD$45 is not refundable if you withdraw from the plan.
- You must set up a Payment Plan before the online registration portal is open.
- You must pay your first installment plus Enrollment Fee $45 for the plan to be activated.
- After the first installment is posted to your account, please contact Lillian (lliao@nyit.edu) to have the Vancouver Bursar Hold removed for online registration.
- Any changes to the payment plan contract must be made through the Vancouver Bursar Office.
- Failure to accept and adhere to the plan terms and agreements could result in a non-refundable late payment fee or the possible cancellation of your classes if applicable.
- If you are delinquent on a payment, you may be prevented from future enrollment in payment plans, and will be charged late fees of $10 by Transact Payments in addition to the New York Tech late fee of $400.
- Note: There is an administrative fee retained by New York Tech charged in addition to the enrollment fee charged by Transact Payments.

- Flywire:
- Payment must be initiated from Payment Plan inside your New York Tech Student Financial Account
- Never go directly to Flywire website to pay for your installment
- Set up the payment plan and pay the 1st installment 10 business days prior to registration portal is open
- Flywire payment takes about 5 to 10 business days to be received by New York Tech and posted to your student account

Prepayment & Registration Rules and Procedures
Rule #1: Required Minimum Prepayment Amount
Vancouver students are required to pay minimum 6 credits plus F/T College Fee before registration opens every term:
- Spring 2023: $6,728
- Summer 2023: $6,728
- Fall 2023: $7,145
Rule #2: Vancouver Bursar Hold (BVN)
All the Vancouver students will have BVN placed to their student accounts 2 weeks prior to the opening of registration every semester. Once the "Required Minimum Prepayment Amount" is paid, received by New York Tech and posted to the student's account, BVN will be removed by the system automatically for online registration.
Rule #3: Bursar Financial Hold (BFH)
Bursar Financial Hold will be placed to student's account if the student has any outstanding balance after these dates:
- Spring: January 1
- Summer: May 1
- Fall: August 1
Bursar Financial Hold will block a student's account from future enrollment and/or making changes to their current schedule. It is the student's responsibility to settle the outstanding payment for the system to remove the BFH automatically.
Prepayment and Registration Procedure
- Submit the full payment or minimum required prepayment to your student account before the registration portal is open.
- Once the payment is received by New York Tech and posted to your student account, Vancouver Bursar Hold will be removed by the system for online registration.
- Do not over register. If you register more than you have paid, you must settle the outstanding balance before the new semester starts. Your account will be blocked by Bursar Financial Hold if you have an outstanding payment and you will not be able to change your registration (add/drop courses) until the payment is made.
- Please DROP the course before adding a new one if you need to change the course registration. If you add the course without sufficient payment in your account, the system will trigger a Financial Hold.
- Please contact Lillian Liao (lliao@nyit.edu) if you are in the last semester and only require to take less credits to complete the program.
- If you enroll in a payment plan, please inform Lillian Liao (lliao@nyit.edu) when your first installment payment is received by New York Tech and posted to your student account.
- All the returning/continuing students must register courses before the new term starts to avoid a Late Registration Fee of USD $400.
- All the students must complete the payments before the new term starts to avoid a Late Payment of USD $400.
Add/Drop Period and Refund Policy
Students may add and/or drop courses during the add/drop period as defined on the academic calendar and Vancouver Bursar Important Dates.
Add/drops will be charged in accordance with the following schedules as long as the drop does not result in a full withdrawal from courses for the term. Students who drop to zero credits are considered to have withdrawn from New York Tech Vancouver and are subject to tuition charges in accordance with the Withdrawal/Dismissal Refund Policy below.

Withdrawal/Dismissal Period and Refund Policy
When a NEW STUDENT withdraws from the college, he/she must complete a Withdrawal Form at Vancouver Registrar's Office. Tuition liability is based on the date of withdrawal determined and recorded on the withdrawal form. A 3-credit tuition fee will be forfeited based on the tuition rate stated on the latest LOA received.
When a CURRENT/RETURNING STUDENT withdraws from the college or from a course, he/she must complete a Withdrawal Form at Vancouver Registrar's Office. Tuition liability is based on the date of withdrawal determined and recorded on the withdrawal form. College Fee is not refundable.

Overdue Payments & Penalties
Students must conform to the payment policies of the Vancouver Bursar's office and are not entitled to attend classes until all fees are paid. Registrations are valid only when all fees are paid and no outstanding balance to New York Tech exists.
Students will be penalized for the below circumstances:
- Late Registration Fee USD$400: A nonrefundable, nonwaivable fee applies to continuing students who register after the first day of each semester
- Late Payment Fee USD$400: A nonrefundable nonwaivable fee applies to any account not paid in full after the first day of each semester
New York Institute of Technology expressly reserves the right, whenever it deems it advisable, to:
- Change or modify its schedule of tuition and fees
- Withdraw, cancel, reschedule, or modify any course, program of study, degree, or any requirement in connection with any of the foregoing
Getting a Refund
If New York Institute of Technology owes you money from overpayment, you can request a refund which will be issued based on the payment method of your last tuition payment and to the same payer.
- For payments by credit card (Transact Payments) within 185 days, refunds will be issued directly to the credit card used. It takes from 5 – 7 business days for the credit to be applied to your credit card from the date New York Tech processes it.
- For payments by credit card (Transact Payments) over 185 days, the refund will be processed by bank wire transfer to the same credit card holder. A copy of the credit card statement that shows the transaction and the card holder's full name is required.
- For payments by ACH (electronic check from the U.S.) within 365 days, refunds will be issued directly to the bank account that issued the original payment.
- For payments by ACH (electronic check from the U.S.) over 365 days, the refund will be processed by a refund check to the same account holder.
- For payments made through Flywire or TransferMate, refunds will be distributed to the bank account / credit card that issued the original payment. If the refund amount is less than USD$50, the refund will be processed by wire transfer to the original payer.
For Flywire/TransferMate (over USD$50), ACH (within 365 days), Credit Card (within 185 days):
- Log in to the Student Service HUB
- Choose My Student Account select "Choose My Refund Method"
- Then request a refund by selecting "Submit Refund Request"
For Flywire/TransferMate (less than USD$50), Credit Card (over 185 days):
- Fill out the Ascendant Wire Refund Request Form
- (For Credit Card over 185 days) A copy of the credit card statement that shows the transaction and the card holder's full name is required

T2202 – Tuition and Enrollment Certificate
What is a T2202 tax form?
The federal T2202 tax form is designed for all students who paid tuition fees for qualifying courses that they are eligible to claim on their income tax return. It is used to certify a student's eligibility for their tuition amount.
Who will receive T2202?
T2202 (Tuition and Enrolment Certificate) is issued to students who paid eligible tuition and fees for qualifying courses that can be claimed on the income tax return. The form shows the eligible tuition fees paid as well as the months you were enrolled either part-time or full-time.
Do I need a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to be eligible for T2202 issuance?
YES! You must have a Social Insurance Number (SIN). Please refer to the Canadian Government website for the details of how to apply for your Social Insurance Number (SIN).
Once you have a SIN, follow the below instructions:
Log in to the Student Service HUB, under the Personal Information Section, click "Update SIN (Canadian Students)." Add your SIN with or without dashes in both fields and click "Submit." You will receive a confirmation message stating that your SIN has been updated.
Can I change the address on my T2202 once it is issued?
NO! Once your T2202 is issued from the system, New York Tech is not able to update any information on your T2202 tax slip. Students are responsible for updating their personal information following the below steps if there are any changes:
- Log in to the Student Service HUB
- Click on "Update Address" under the Personal Information Section
